7 Reasons You Should Start Planning a Trip To Norway

I have fallen in love with Scandinavia and its landscapes! It could be my one and only reason to book another flight, perhaps in the summer or some time warmer. The weather could be a bit of a pain in terms of interrupting plans. Plans to see the most magnificent fiords. But anyway…

…here are my 7 reasons you should start planning a trip to Norway:

#1 Fiords (fjords)

I have seen the fjords in Scotland already, but them ones in Norway are more magnificent (in a way). A miracle of nature itself!

#2 Scandi city

I am not talking about Oslo, but a typical Scandi city, such as Kristiansand. There is something magical about this lovely city on the edge of Norway ( and they sell a really good coffee and wine in there :))

#3 Norwegian folks are so kind

Really! They make you feel like you want to come back to their lovely country. Such a helpful and kind nation!

#4 Food

It might look like I am food-obsessed, but I love trying out cuisine of the country I am visiting ( who doesn’t?)! You should defo go to Norway if you fancy some fresh fish, reindeer (I know…) or whale meat. I haven’t tried them all out yet, but it’s in my summer plans.

#5 Shade of green

There is also something magical about forests, and this typical ‘frigid’ shade of green!

#6 Norwegian Hytte(s)

Hytte(or hytta) is a Norwegian cabin – the cute little houses painted in red, burgundy or brown. There is nothing more Scandinavian that the view of the sea, boat, hytte and the rocks in the background!

#7 Vintage Shops

Ok, I had to. I love Norwegian charity shops. I got back home with four amazing purchases after my weekend break in Kristiansand. Could be a good reason to go there, huh? 🙂
