I stayed in Potsdam during the whole Berlin Fashion Week, and I loved it! Potsdam has so much to offer! And it’s only 45 away from central Berlin!
I stayed in the heart of the city (literally!), with the view of Brandenburger Tor right outside my window. It was a perfect location – 45 minutes driving from my hotel to Ku’damm and only 5 minutes walking to Sanssouci Park. All in one.
*Here is the post from Potsdam, summer 2014
My hotel was super cosy, quiet (even though it was in the centre) and of a very high standard. Nothing compares to the view of the magnificent Brandenburg Gate just outside your window in the morning!
I recon Hotel Brandenburger Tor is a perfect choice for travel bloggers (the price is also very approachable as for this standard), couples (definitely!), and groups of friends travelling through Germany.
Getting to both Schoenefeld and Tegel airports is easy ( in compare to getting to London Central from Gatwick Airport for example), with the trains and shuttle buses running very often!
There are also several reasons you should visit Potsdam while being in Berlin :
- Dutch Quarter (where the hotel is)
- Sanssoucci Park with its beautiful gardens (breathtaking even in winter)
- Heiliger Lake
- Orangery Palace
What does the hotel management say ?
‘The Hotel Brandenburger Tor offers comfort in an excellent location for your stay in the state capital. Enjoy the comfort of one of our 39 lovingly decorated rooms. Each room is elegantly furnished. Have a relaxing start to your day with our indulgent breakfast served on porcelain created by the Royal Porcelain Manufactory Berlin and conclude an eventful day at our Voltaire Bar or on the sun terrace.‘
Put Hotel Brandenburger Tor on your hotel list!
The room was very spacious and furnished in a very unique and luxurious way! The pictures look incredibly great! I also had my chance to relax in between the shows in a very comfortable bed.

It’s really cool that you didn’t stay in the centre as everyone else – guess you had it less stressful 😉

Das Hotel sieht wirklich ur-gemütlich aus. Es freut mich, dass du während der Fashion Week einen so schönen Ort hattest, an den du nach all dem Trubel wieder zurück kommen konntest. <3
