The Best Luxurious Honeymoon Spots in Greece

Greece is undoubtedly one of the most coveted honeymoon destinations in the world. Well – no wonder! This country has everything, from the picturesque views, delicious food to incredible atmosphere and a lot of historical sights. Cyclades, Athens, Saloniki or maybe Crete and Rhodes? the options are many.

It is one of my favourite destinations as well – whether it is a romantic getaway, a girly trip or just a simple holiday for two. I have been to Greece countless times so I decided to create a lovely little listing post for the ones planning a perfect 2022 honeymoon.

Lindos Blu, Rhodes

Rhodes might not be related to luxurious holiday but I happened to find a real paradise for the honeymooners on the island of

You would land in a perfect location, not too far from the sights. The hotel is placed literally 2 minutes driving from Lindos and the Acropolis, around 1hr away from Rhodes Town and half an hour from paradise-like Anthony Quinn Bay.

Lindos Blu is constantly rewarded with some of the most prestigious travel awards, such as Trip Advisor Travellers’ Choice (which is the most ‘honest’ reward within the travel industry), TUI Gold Awards but also… it was recently voted one of the TOP 25 MOST ROMANTIC HOTELS IN THE WORLD. Wow!

We were staying in a beautiful maisonette called ‘Nefeli’ which is one of the most luxurious villas in the whole resort. The features of such Maisonette are: 50 m² terrace, private 35 m² infinity pool and jacuzzi, sunbeds and it can accommodate up to 4 people, which means it is not only suitable for honeymooners but also for two couples travelling together. Would you not want to jump to this turquoise pool right before your morning Nespresso?

Tharroe of Mykonos

Mykonos… ahh Mykonos. What a chic and fabulous island! The only advice I would give you is to go off season – perhaps late April or May? We went in October and it appeared quite windy (even stormy). Some of the ferries and other sea activities have been cancelled so I would suggest spring instead of autumn. As for the high season – it is too crowded for a honeymoon in my opinion.

And as for the perfect place….

Tharroe of Mykonos is a place of absolute beauty and privacy. Designed for stylish and relaxing holidays and honeymoons. We both have fallen in love the minute we entered their terrace. What a spectacular view! Wow-effect guaranteed. The hotel is located on a top of a small hill, around 15 minutes walking from Mykonos’s cultural centre so the vibe is really tranquil and romantic. Tharroe’s main feature is undoubtedly the panoramic view of the island and the sea. Honeymooners also love the fact that the sunsets here are really fabulous – safe to say they are actually as great as the ones at 180 Sunset Bar, which is the island’s most popular spot for the sunset hunters. As for the suites – we got a fabulous honeymoon suite with an indoor hot tub and a lovely balcony. It was really cosy yet luxurious and exclusive. As for the other activities for the honeymooners – the hotel offers boat rides.

Ramada Plaza Thraki

Well.. ok, Thraki is not a popular honeymoon destination but is it a perfect one for the ones seeking for ‘off the beaten path’ places! Are you a travelling pair? You could also combine it with a trip to Turkey and Bulgaria and see these 3 countries at once!
Ramada Plaza Thraki is a 5star hotel operated by Wyndham. It is located just 4 km from Alexandroupolis. As for the ***** standard, the hotel has it all. From a luxurious SPA to several swimming pools, restaurants, pool bars, suites and about 150 spacious rooms. With its strategic location just outside the city, it makes a perfect destination for the weekend and for a honeymoon of your dreams.

Aqua Luxury Suites Santorini

Santorini, just like Mykonos, can get really crowded in high season that is why I would also recommend late Spring/ fall visit.

Aegialis Resort and SPA, Amorgos

Amorgos is such a stunning island! It is so peaceful and quiet yet so many things to do! Aegialis Hotel and SPA is the largest and the only 5-star hotel in Amorgos, known worldwide as the perfect yoga retreat! It was described by some of the most prestigious magazines, such as Forbes and Brides Abroad.

The hotel is a perfect combo of a luxury (not the strick tie and high heels luxury but a laid-back elegance), a typical Cyclades charm and an idyllic namaste vibe. The swimming pool overlooking Aegialis bay is definitely a highlight, too. I featured the whole blog post about this lovely place last Month.

Another very important thing I really have to include in this article is the impression of their staff. My sister and I both spoke to members of staff and we both agreed… we have never met better-bonded people. Every single person who works there really loves the place. You can tell they get on well with each other and with the guests. I think the atmosphere is 100% honeymoon perfect. Also, the couple has sooo many activities to choose from – SPA, road trip, hiking, yoga and much more.

Mr and Mrs White Paros

People say Paros is ‘like Mykonos was 20 years ago’. It is hard not to agree, the way I see it. The island is located in the heart of the Aegean sea and belongs to the Cyclades, the most popular Greek island group, according to 2019 travel statistics at edreams. Being close to famous Cyclades, such as Mykonos and Santorini, Paros was often ‘neglected’ by the international tourists. Big mistake. Big.

I was staying in a marvellous Mr and Mrs White Hotel in Naoussa, the cultural capital of the island. The hotel’s interior and exterior is a mix of modern and boho style with the ancient Greek-inspired details. The pool area gives you a really great vibe while the location is also perfect for the sunset hunters and the ones loving to walk.

Petasos Beach Resort, Mykonos

Petasos Beach Resort is located on the flip side of Myknos, in a very quiet area of Platis Gialos. This luxury resort is an excellent choice for rest and rejuvenation. Well-known for its charming environment and proximity to great restaurants. We really enjoyed our private pool suite overlooking Platys Bay -it could actually be the one and only reason to choose this place for your honeymoon stop. Honeystly, the vibe is really great. Apart from the pools, the resort has a lovely private beach that reminds me of the ones I saw in Amalfi Coast. Stunning red umbrellas give you this kind of fabulous retro feel for sure. There is a car rental nearby – we rented a small car and drove to Mykonos center in order to have a glass of wine at 180 Sunset Bar. The real highlight of this place is an amazing interior – all white, clean and incredibly chic. It is a mix of a modern art and ancient Greece – just look at those fabulous chairs! We also loved their breakfast – the choice was fabulous with all the Greek specialities!
