There are no rules in the fashion game right now especially when it comes to the fashion prints of 2014. Although I am a fan of the classic look I just love to experiment with the prints and different styles sometimes. Our decade is going to be full of fashion surprises! I mean following trends are inspired by the 70’s , 80’s and the 90’s all together . It surely must be some sort of a crazy combination with a lot of choices for everyone. Today’s outfit , for example, is a mix of romantic/artistic mood , 80’s and 90’s(Birkenstocks). The top is a beautiful piece from my newly discovered &otherstories shop in a heart of Berlin’s Kürfurstendamm Straße. They offer the whole variety of uniqe clothes (fashion prints are beautiful!)and very good quality leather accessories.I felt in love with the peplum top with the cut-out at the centre front . The colour palette of those sketchy flowers is just impressive! I was thinking it would look perfect either with the black skinny jeans and heels or contrasting bottom . I decided on the second option as it definitely gives it an interesting feel and contains of those three leading trends(past decade’s fashion). Fashion prints are destined to be combined with each other. As for the foot wear – I used to think Birkenstocks are just another ugly fashion trend (straight from the hospital) that will dissapear after one or two seasons but then I decided to get myself one pair to try them out. I have to admit- they are not only comfortable but they also play a strategic role in a lot of outfit combinations too. They became my favourite shoes of S/S14 and, because I got the navy ones, I am planning to be faithful to them for the next couple of seasons.
The beautiful landscape is Victoria Park in Berlin’s Kreuzber which is a borough in the west of the capital. It reminds me of my beloved Camden Town as it has loads of cool cafes , bars , restauratns and beautiful channels.
