Festive Outfits – Time to Shine!

December is a time to shine! I always enjoy the festive Month, not only because it is such a reflective period, full of meetings and great events but also because….. it boosts my sense of fashion and my creativity!

Despite the fact I tend to wear retro and vintage pieces, elegant fabrics and rather toned looks, December calls for something else. I love to experiment with the sequins/ kitchy looks and buggy jumpers I would never wear on a regular basis.

I designed the majority of looks I feature today but I ‘back them up’ with cashmere jumpers, sequin leggings and cashmere coats. ‘Tis the season to sparkle!

A good festive look is not completed without a nice pair of earrings!

Velvet

I don’t think velvet is an elegant fabric but it screams ‘Christmas’! I especially love it in a burgundy and emerald shade but this winter, I also experimented with lilac. I paired this fabulous Pazuki cat printed top with wide-leg velvet pants in order to achieve this Snow Queen vibe.

As for the velvet pieces, I would recommend to pair them up with some delicate jewellery pieces and stilettos to avoid looking like a Christmas present 🙂

Satin

I have fallen for satin, especially in this shady pink colour but I also adore good old white shirts paired with some sequined bottoms! Festive party look ready!

Emerald

My absolute favourite shade of 2019 (apart from my standard red). I went for its sparkly version and made myself a tube dress. Pure elegance, especially with the golden accessories.

Feathers

W

Red is the colour of Christmas, there is no denying. I went for the tube dress with some feather details. Feathers are known for being a Christmassy detail – whether they are added to sleeves, seam or shoes.

Sequins

It might not be a revolutionary look but I went for the caramel shade of this Chanel-inspired set. I paired them up with patent leather AGL boots to achieve this festive look.

Pleat

I have found this amazing baby pink pleated fabric and I could not just …pass by. How elegant does this skirt look paired up with cable knit cashmere jumper?

Buggy Jumpers

I am a great fan of buggy jumper + pencil skirt look. They make the outfit so wintery, cosy and really elegant combined with some chic footwear.

Cashmere or Woollen

A great quality woollen or cashmere coat is a must! It is worth to invest in one beige or black and wear it with different accessories to style it up for either elegant, fancy or festive.

Faux Fur

Last but not least my 40’s inspired set with brown faux fur leather and my winter look with Moon Boots. I LOVE this chocolate shade and its fake fur version. I am definitely going to wear a lot of these pieces this winter!
